10 teams awarded for Innovation Expo in Budapest
Based on a Virtual final three teams will be selected for the additional prize – Bitkom hub conference in Berlin
This year’s Telekom Innovation Contest was looking for smart entrepreneurs around the world to connect with Deutsche Telekom’s ecosystem. Out of all applications in the fields of Smart Data Analytics, Future Communication and Industry 4.0 / IoT the jury of experts chose the 10 most promising teams. According to this year’s motto „You create. We connect.“ the teams are invited to the exclusive Innovation Expo in Budapest which is taking place next year. As an additional prize, the teams have the opportunity to compete in a virtual final for three spots at bitkom hub conference.
10 teams for Innovation Expo in Budapest
The selection of the teams shows a big variety: young founders and experienced entrepreneurs, addressing innovations from big data solutions over smart devices to sensor based tracking. Some of the products are in the stage of marked ready prototype or already commercialized.
In the category Smart Data Analytics the following teams have been chosen: Teradrill from the United States, resecure from Germany and the Hungarian team Slamby. Their software solutions address the management of network messages, website security and language categorization.
The teams of the Future Communication category focus on video creation, smart home security and smart devices for visually impaired people. PersonalVideo from Hungary, branto from the United States and BlindShell from Czech Republic will present their solutions at the Innovation Expo in Budapest as well.
The third category revolves around the Internet of Things. Cassantec from Switzerland prognosticates future events on industrial equipment, the German team Kinexon offers a 3D tracking service and Gemino from Italy addresses broadband connection management.
The tenth team shopboostr entered the contest by winning a wild card for Innovation Expo Budapest at Startup Night: The Berlin-based crew optimizes web-shops with behaviour-based algorithms.
At the Innovation Expo in Budapest next year, the teams will meet business owners, representatives of Deutsche Telekom’s venture units, incubators and national companies and will explore various cooperation opportunities.
Virtual final: teams compete for spots at Bitkom hub conference
Another great opportunity to network and build bridges between the startup world and the corporate one is the trend congress held by the Digital Association of Germany, Bitkom. Three of all above mentioned teams get the chance to participate in this event on December 10 2015 in Berlin. At Bitkom hub conference global players and startups, CEOs and CIOs, science and politics establish networks and shape the digital future. To select the winners, experts from Deutsche Telekom Group will award the best video pitches of the ten Telekom Innovation Contest finalists by mid November.
